Lift Chair FAQs
A power lift recliner is a motorized chair that assists you in standing up or sitting down safely and comfortably. Golden chairs use patented technologies and wellness positioning to help you transition smoothly from a seated to a standing position and vice versa.
Power lift recliners by Golden are FDA Approved Class II Medical Devices designed to assist persons with chronic physical disablements. They are ideal for anyone who has difficulty standing up from a seated position, including seniors, people with mobility issues, or those recovering from surgery or injury. However, our patented positioning provides wellness benefits that support comfort and well-being for people of all ages and needs.

Straight lift positioning was designed to allow for safer transfer options by lifting the chair straight up instead of tilting forward when getting in and out. This vertical lift motion helps maintain stability and control, providing a more secure transition to a standing or seated position. There are three types of safety transfers offered ONLY by Golden – Straight Lift is available on ALL Golden Chairs while Mid Lift is available on all models except for 5-Zone chairs with Twilight Tilt Technology. Golden provides the serial number in three places on every chair – The owner’s manual, the lift frame, and the wire on the hand control.
All Golden power lift recliners are FDA Approved Class II Medical Devices.
Comfort Zones (motors in the chair) are independently controlled seating regions within our chairs. Models may include up to five Comfort Zones – headrest, lumbar, back, seat and footrest – giving you custom support where you need it most.
MaxiComfort Positioning is our patented recline technology that offers customizable positioning – thanks to our four-way motion seat box. Positions include a true Zero Gravity and Trendelenburg. This can help reduce pressure, improve circulation, and promote total body relaxation.
Twilight Tilt is a patented five-motor system that offers a true tilt-in-space motion, cradling your body with the seat box tilting back as a unit. This elevates your feet above the heart and repositions your weight for optimal pressure relief, circulation, and comfort.
Most of our power lift recliners are proudly made in the USA with domestic & imported materials. Our skilled American craftsmen use the highest quality materials and components.
Optional features vary by model and may include far infrared heat and massage, adjustable lumbar support, smartphone charging ports, footrest extensions, Nirvana Swedish Air Massage with Far Infrared Heat, a power grommet with exclusive accessories, and more.
Cleaning instructions vary depending on the fabric. We recommend spot-cleaning with mild soap and water and avoiding harsh chemicals. Refer to the Owner’s Manual for fabric-specific care.
We offer White Glove Delivery through select retailers, which includes in-home setup and removal of packaging. Standard delivery options are also available. Services vary by retailer – please contact your local retailer of choice for more information.

Scooter FAQs
Depending on the model, the serial number will be located under the carpet, on the battery box, seat post, and/or charger.
We recommend charging your unit every night, especially if you use your mobility product every day.
